GOG.com has reached the 100 game milestone with the addition of the point-and-click adventure Teenagent, which itās giving away free as a āthank youā to fans.
Developed by Polish studio Metropolis Software, Teenagent told the story of Mark Hopper, an āaverage teenagerā whoās drafted into the RGB, a āsuper secret secret service agencyā investigating the disappearance of gold from the main European bank. Youāre pressed into service after the RGB, unable to make any headway on the case, goes to a fortune teller for help and is told that only you can solve the mystery.
āItās been less than six months since we started the open beta, and in that time weāve managed to sign 20 publishers and reach the 100-games milestone,ā said GOG.com Managing Director Adam Oldakowski. āWe still have a lot more PC-gaming history to revive, but weāre thrilled that weāve kept up our goal of releasing at least two new games each week. Weād like to reward our amazing fans with the free release of Teenagent, and we hope that youāll all be with us when we hit 200, then 300 and beyond!ā
Teenagent was originally released in 1994 for DOS-based PCs and the Amiga, and while it was apparently re-released as freeware in 1999, the GOG version, like all GOG releases, has been tweaked and modified to run under Windows XP and Windows Vista āout of the box.ā And itās still free!
