Lexion, guild leader of the Exodus Syndicate was resilient enough to answer my questions 😉 here we go:

Who are the ExGS Clan?
We are The Exodus Gaming Syndicate, an experienced crowd of gamers coming from games such as MxO, SwG, WoW, GW and so on. Our numbers reach above the 100’s right now and currently have 3 branches; Age of Conan, WoW and Huxley.
We are mostly known as brutal PvP’ers, we’re a great mix of hardcore and laid back. We have members from across the world with main base during US and UK hours

What is unique about the ExGS?
We can only speak of our perks, not of what other guilds lack. We offer a mature environment, regardless of age. All our members are very civil and welcoming. We’re also proud to have 7 female gamers in our guild, which is proof that we carry ourselves with pride and dignity at all times. Our multi-gaming profile also promotes keeping your friends no matter what game you intend to play. We also have a quarterly newsletter which is fully Photoshopped. View the Newsletter Q3 here (a VERY good read! – Ixo). We also have a Radio station!

What servers are you gunning for?
Looking at our past, we´re probably starting out on some sort of PvP server. Exactly to which form will be discussed among the members and leaders when we know more about what will be available. We are a PvP guild for the most part, but we have squads with different orientations – Everyone can find his place in the ExGS. For more information regarding the squads, see the Guild Structure.

How do you look on interaction with other guilds?
Casual alliances will probably work best if any. Usually it takes more administration to manage an alliance than the perks you get from one. If AoC has a built-in system, it will probably ease up the process a bit. We might align ourselves when we have established ourselves, but probably not before, and it will be on a case-by-case basis.

How is the ExGS structured socially (ranks, groups…)?
We have global ranks (meaning same across games and outside as well) to make it as easy as possible for our members to know what position means what. Going on 3 years, we know this rank system is the best for using the talents of our members to their best extent.
We also organize our players into squads:
House of Hades – (US PvP)_____________________________House of Mars – (US PvP)

House of Styx – (US PvP)_______________________________House of Loki – (EU PvP)

House of Glory – (PvE)_________________________________House of Holy – (RP)

House of Exo-Skeleton – (Xbox360)

What is your take on player cities?
Having an in-game home is VERY important. We see it as an accomplishment which our members can be proud of in their everyday quest for levels and glory. We do intend to have both PvP and PvE cities and Id say they are of equal importance, but it will of course be an easier task maintaining a regular PvE city compared to a Border Kingdom battle keep.

What is your take on in-game taxes and loot distribution

I’m pro taxes when it comes to guild cities but not residential tax, just commerce. Those who honor your city with a home shouldn’t have to pay, though I might slice a bit off the top on the sales produced. This will of course depend on the economic system in AoC, but I’m not looking to tax my guild members.

Loot distribution will depend on how drops are handled. In teams, the team leader should be able to set the variable. If two teams hit the same mob, those who do the most damage should get the drop. Loot stored in the guild bank should be distributed by the guild leader or the person in charge of it. When it comes to raiding we´re considering using one of the approved WoW systems, we´ll decide after we’ve tried out the mechanics though.

What excites you most about Age of Conan?
The combat and dynamics of sieging first of all. Age of Conan has so many interesting parts and I´m very excited to see how it all comes together.

How are you planning on communicating in-game (raids, sieges etc…)?
We use a voice chat client (Ventrilo) as a main communication device as it´s just superior to typing in PvP situations.

What are you looking for in a potential member?
I’m looking for mature, friendly and reliable people. I’m looking for those who value dedication. I don’t care if this is your first or last MMO, if you’re 18 or 50, its of less importance as long as you’re social and level-headed.

What do you expect from members (in-game or forum activity)?
I expect them to take what we do serious and to be proud of what we do. I expect activity, whether it be Vent, forums or otherwise

And finally, How to apply?
Post an application through our website and join the the Syndicate now on our road to brutal glory.

A few final words from Lexion:
The ExGS is ready for Age of Conan. Our setup is a finished concept and we´ll be crashing through the gates like hungry wolves no doubt.

I´m very surprised that there are so many great guilds around, I´ve see nothing but great leaders and members around the community and I´m looking forward to meeting everyone in-game and of course killing a few of you as well! 😀

If you want to bug me with suggestions, questions or you want your Guild to be featured.. Tough tootsy! 😀
Just kidding! I’m always happy to hear from you. I’m at: [email protected]
