The new Serious Sam 3 promotional video goes beyond the action and bloodshed to take a rare, behind-the-scenes look at Brett Sanderson: father, husband, Headless Kamikaze.
Meet Brett Sanderson. Despite having a secure sales job with benefits and a good retirement plan, Sanderson was looking for something more, something that would give his life purpose. And when he stumbled upon an ad in the “Soldier/Human Sacrifice” section of Hordeslist, he knew he’d found it.
After a successful audition, Sanderson was decapitated and had two large, round bombs permanently affixed to his hands. “Being a headless kamikaze is great,” he said. “There’s a real sense of brotherhood with the other ‘kazes. We’re like, the closest family ever.”
Sadly, Sanderson exploded three weeks after this interview took place, but his determined spirit and boundless enthusiasm will forever live on in the missing faces of headless kamikazes everywhere.
Serious Sam 3: BFE comes out later this summer for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
