The Cataclysm set is a bonus reward you get for ordering the deluxe edition of Oblivion Remastered. Despite it being a bonus, you’ll still have to complete a questline to unlock all the rewards.
Just like the Order weapon and armor set, this one also has impressive stats that will carry you through the mid-game stages with ease. If you want to avoid completing the quest, you can always use console commands to get the set for yourself, but we’d advise against it.
Where to Find Cataclysm Armor and Weapon Set Quest in Oblivion Remastered
To get your hands on the Catalysm gear set, you’ll need to complete the Burning Trial questline. It’s a simple questline, which can be completed by killing just one person. But that’s towards the end of the quest.
How to Start the Burning Trial Questline

To start this quest, make your way to the Imperial City, and then to the Talos Plaza District. Here you should see a dragon statue. In front of this statue are three barrels, and one of them has a Mythic Dawn pamphlet. When you pick up the first pamphlet, the Burning Trial questline gets added to your journal in Oblivion Remastered, and now you’ll have to track down three more pamphlets to progress further.

For the next pamphlet, you’ll need to make your way to Hircine’s Shrine. Here, you need to go in the direction that the wolf statue is facing. When you face that direction, you’ll notice a tree in the distance. Head to this tree, and you’ll find the second pamphlet behind it.

The third pamphlet is located close to Molag Bal’s shrine. The clue is designed to confuse you, so all you need to do is face the shrine and turn to your right. The note should be visible to you.

The fourth pamphlet is slightly difficult to find, but Bethesda’s hidden it right under everyone’s noses. To get it, you’ll have to make your way to Bravil’s Castle, which is located close to the Larsius River. Make your way inside the castle and find the Lucky Old Lady’s statue. The note should be at the base. With all four pamphlets discovered, you need to now locate a Shy Dunmer at the nearest inn.
Where to Find the Shy Dunmer in Oblivion Remastered
The shy Dunmer you’re looking for is Ranaline and can be found at the Lonely Suitors Lodge in Bravil. Reach the lodge and speak to the attendant, who’ll tell you where to find Ranaline.
Talking to Ranaline is a skill check. If you have a high personality score, you’ll just be able to persuade her to give up the information. If you don’t, you’ll have to bribe her to tell you. Either way, when you tell her about the Mythic Dawn pamphlets, she’ll give you Cult robes and send you towards Mingo Cave, near Hircine’s Shrine.
How to Unlock The Cataclysm Armor and Weapon Set in Oblivion Remastered
When you make it inside Mingo Cave, you’ll see a ritual going on. Here, Mehrunes Dagon’s Harbinger will be preparing to execute an individual. All you need to do is activate the pyre, and then speak to Mehrunes’ Harbinger.

You’ll get a new summon spell. Make your way out of the cave and then use the spell to summon Mehrunes’ Harbinger, who’ll give you the choice to collect every single weapon in the Cataclysm Gear set. All the items in it are as follows:
Weapons
- Battle-Axe of Cataclysm
- Bow of Cataclysm
- Claymore of Cataclysm
- Dagger of Cataclysm
