Just like Greater Blood Essence, Blood Crystals are also an essential resource in V Rising, but you can only find them in one specific region on the map.
You need to mine Blood Crystals from their outgrowths, but since it’s an endgame resource, you’ll need durable tools to extract it. You can also use console commands to add it to your inventory, but the only way to do so would be on a private server.
Where to Find Blood Crystals in V Rising
You can find Blood Crystals in an area called Dracula’s Demise. This area is located right in the middle of the map and is rich in this resource. You’ll need to use tools like the Dark Silver Pickaxe or any pickaxe that is above Gear Level 23 to extract this item from the deposits.

There are a lot of enemies in the area, too, so you’ll have to defeat them to ensure that you can farm peacefully. You’ll also come across Lord Styx, Champion of the Night here, so make sure you’ve levelled up enough to take on this boss.
Defeating Lord Styx will reward you with the recipe to make the Blood Key, which is what will help you get into Dracula’s Castle. But to win the fight against him, you’ll need to build some strong weapons for yourself. And that’s where Blood Crystals come in.
How to Use Blood Crystals in V Rising
Blood Crystals are an important crafting ingredient for the Onyx Tear, which is something that you’ll need to craft the strongest Legendary weapons in V Rising, like Cloud Dancers and Wings of the Fallen. You’ll also need Onyx Tear to craft the Blood Key, which is probably the most important item in the game.
You need 120 Blood Crystals, four Gold Ingots, and four Power Cores to craft a single Onyx Tear. If you’ve placed the anvil on the forge room floor, then the ingredients required are slashed by 25 percent. Every Legendary weapon needs four Onyx Tears to craft, so you’ll need to farm at least 500 Blood Crystals to have enough. So, be sure to stock up on enough Dark Silver pickaxes, so if one breaks, you can always switch to the other one without having to return to your camp to repair it.
