The Ring of Mendeln is a powerful Necromancer Unique that you should use in Diablo 4, especially if you want to get the most out of a specific build.
Thanks to the buffs that the class has been receiving, Necromancers are in a very good place right now. They’re well-rounded, so even if you’re heading into the Artificer’s Pit, Nightmare Dungeons, or even the Undercity, you won’t have a problem dealing with bosses or the smaller enemies that spawn.
Where to Find the Ring of Mendeln in Diablo 4
The easiest way to pick up the Ring of Mendeln is by farming the Beast in Ice Dungeon found at the Glacial Fissure. Alternatively, if you find this activity a bit too difficult, you can always make your way to the Helltides and open the chests you find in the area. You’ll need Aberrant Cinders to open these chests, and the best way to farm this currency is by completing the Accursed Ritual event.

You can also get the Ring of Mendeln in Diablo 4 by farming Nightmare Dungeons or by crashing Legion events. You can come across this ring by hunting down World Bosses like Avarice, Ashava, or The Wandering Death whenever you see them spawn on the map.
If you want to get this ring, the Beast in Ice is your best bet because it has a smaller loot table. Yes, the RNG makes things difficult, but it’s better than aimlessly wandering around Sanctuary sacrificing demons to Lady Luck, hoping she’d have mercy on you.
What Does the Ring of Mendeln Do?
This ring ensures that every sixth attack that your minions deal is empowered and explodes for X Physical damage. The X is the amount of damage, which again depends upon RNG. However, if you’re in Torment 1 and above, expect this value to be quite high, which makes it worth using this ring.
Each and every Minion build that the Necromancer has in Diablo 4 can make use of this Unique item. Doesn’t matter if you’re just playing with an Iron Golem or Skeleton Soldiers—all of them will benefit from this ring’s passive. For the best stats possible, make sure to go after the following rolls on the Ring of Mendeln:
- Equipment Affix: + x% Resistance to All Elements & +x% Shadow Resistance.
- Affix 1: +x Intelligence
- Affix 2: + x% Damage
- Affix 3: + x% Minion Attack Speed
- Affix 4: + x to Skeletal Warrior Mastery, Skeletal Mage Mastery, and Golem Mastery
As usual, the value of “x” in the rolls mentioned above will depend on your overall level, so the higher your level, the higher the difficulty, the better rolls you’ll get!
