How to Get Rough & Cut Amber in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey

Amber is one of the materials that you will need to make progress in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. This is one of the materials that serves as a level check after you’ve made some progress in your journey.

It’s not a rare material, but you’ll need a lot of Amber to craft some sturdy tools, which will help you progress through the different biomes. Whenever you find a deposit of this item, you’ll need a specific tool to extract and make it usable for yourself.

Where to Find Rough Amber in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey

To find rough Amber, make your way to the newly added Grassland Caves. This resource could previously be found in the Desert biome, but after a recent update, it was sent to a new location. These new caves are also marked on the map, but only after you’ve explored them.

Amber deposits have a distinct yellow-orange color and tend to glow whenever light falls on them. So, if you’re exploring a cave with a torch, these deposits will shine. To mine this resource, you’ll need a pickaxe of uncommon or higher rarity. Common pickaxes won’t damage these deposits one bit. While you’re off on mining expeditions in the Grassland Caves, be sure to carry some sort of weapon with you because these caves often have skeletons roaming around.

You can also send a villager on an expedition to collect Rough Amber, and in our experience, they often bring back more Amber than what you can mine.

How to Get Cut Amber

You’ll need to build a Gem Cutter to get Cut Amber from its rough counterpart. Whenever you feed this resource into the Gem Cutter, it’ll yield Cut Amber in a 1:1 ratio in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. So, if you input 10 Rough Amber, you’ll get 10 Cut Amber.

Here’s how you can build a Gem Cutter for yourself:

• 20 Metal Plate
• 15 Bright Core
• 5 Blast Core
• 3 Brute Scales

What is Amber Used For in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey?

Amber has multiple uses, which range from crafting Charms to weapons and tools. Most weapons that you craft with this item are of Rare rarity and higher. Additionally, you can use it to craft an Amber Chest which will let you store 28 unique items.

However, Amber will help you craft different Charms, which are extremely important items to help you survive some of the more difficult areas. Some of these charms are as follows:

• Epic Health Charm: 3 Wool Thread, 5 Cut Amber, 1 Brute Scale
• Legendary Storm Charm: 3 Silk Thread, 8 Cut Amber, 5 Rift Crystals, 1 Shatter Horn

Epic Health Charm will give you four additional hearts, while the Legendary Storm Charm will let you survive in the Storm Biome for 6 minutes and 30 seconds. The Storm Biome hides some important resources like Storm Cores and areas like Storm Dungeons, so you’d want to spend as much time as you want in this area.
