To combat the Cleaners in The Division 2 Battle for Brooklyn DLC, agents can get their hands on a new Exotic mask known as the Catalyst.
Exotics have always been a staple part of almost every build that you need to dominate every single activity that this title has to offer. This new item reflects the overall theme of the new DLC and has some perks that can be useful whenever you’re going up against the Cleaners, especially during the Crossroads season.
Where to Find the Catalyst Exotic Mask in The Division 2
The Catalyst Exotic mask is a mission drop that you’ll get by completing the Army Terminal mission, which is the final mission in the DLC mini-campaign. However, the first time you complete it, the mission will default to a story difficulty, which doesn’t offer any Exotic drops.

To get this item, you’ll have to repeatedly farm the mission on Heroic difficulty, where it has a 10% drop chance. You can bring additional modifiers to amp up the difficulty of the mission, but they don’t affect the drop rates at all. So, we recommend running the mission multiple times on story difficulty until you get familiar with the different mechanics that you’ll be facing.
Catalyst Exotic Mask Talent and Stats Explored
Talents
The Catalyst Exotic mask features three different talents in The Division 2, each of which can complement every single DPS build in the game. These talents are:
Catalysis
Whenever you deal or receive any status effect (burn, bleed, disrupt, poison, and disorient), you build up a stack of Catalysis, which maxes out at 12 stacks. For each stack that you have, you get a 2% bonus weapon damage and a 2% bonus status effect duration.
If there’s an enemy within your 15m radius who’s been affected by one or multiple status effects, you’ll receive one stack per second. The number goes up to two stacks per second if you’re subject to any such effects. Additionally, if no one is affected, it decays at a rate of one stack per second after five seconds.
Reactant
At max Catalysis stacks, if you kill an enemy, you receive +25% bonus armor and +20% reload speed for five seconds. This doesn’t stack, but is refreshed every time you score a kill at max Catalysis stacks.
Stabilizer
This talent lets you aim down the sights even when you’re burning, without disrupting your ability to take cover and shoot.
Stats
Being an Exotic, the Catalyst doesn’t drop with multiple stat rolls. No matter how many drops you get, the following stat rolls will always remain constant.
Core Attribute
- +15% Weapon Damage
Secondary Attributes
- +10% Status Effects
- +10% Hazard Protection
- Mod Slot
