How to Get the Psycho Bandit Skin in Fortnite

Here's everything you need to know about the Psycho Bandit Fortnite skin and how long it'll be available in the store.

The long-awaited return of the Psycho Bandit skin from Borderlands has finally arrived in Fortnite. After a nearly five-year hiatus, this iconic cosmetic, a favorite among fans, is back on the island.

Apart from the Psycho Bandit, a few other associated cosmetics have made a return and will be available over the next couple of days before being vaulted once again.

How to Unlock the Psycho Bandit Skin in Fortnite

The only way to get the Psycho Bandit skin is by purchasing it from the Fortnite Item Shop. Unlike most of the skins that Epic Games is selling these days, Psycho Bandit is available as a part of the Psycho Bundle, which is priced at 2,000 V-Bucks.

Apart from the skin, the bundle contains the following cosmetics:

  • Claptrap Backbling
  • Psycho Buzz Pickaxes

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase any of the cosmetics in the bundle individually, nor does the set come with a Glider.

When Does the Psycho Bandit Bundle Leave the Item Shop?

The Psycho Bundle will leave the Fortnite Item Shop on May 3, 2025. Considering that it took over five years for Epic Games to bring the skin back to the Item Shop, it’s possible that it’ll not return to the store for quite some time after it leaves. Because Borderlands 4 is set to release in September this year, a rerun of this skin could occur ahead of its release.

Although the skin is an exact replica of the design that you’ll see in Borderlands, you will not be able to use it in LEGO Fortnite mode. This could be because Epic Games couldn’t create a LEGO-style design for it in time and will do so at a later date, or due to licensing issues.

Lore-wise, keeping Psycho Bandit on the LEGO island wouldn’t make sense at all, because he’s a bandit and will probably destroy the entire island rather than settling down. Since the mode rewards survival and building over destruction, this could’ve been the justification for why he’s been left out of Epic’s Valheim-like experience.
