How to Join the Thieves Guild in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered

Here's everything you need to know about joining the Thieves Guild in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered.

The Thieves Guild is one of the simpler and non-violent guilds that you will come across in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered

As the name suggests, when you join the guild, you’ll be stealing and interacting with a lot of shady characters all across Cyrodiil. But unlike Skyrim, no Nightingale Armor is waiting for you at the end of the questline, nor is the Skeleton Key associated with it.

Where to Find and Join the Thieves Guild in Oblivion Remastered

There are multiple ways in which you can join the Thieves Guild:

  • In the Imperial City, you’ll find a lot of Wanted Posters for the Gray Fox. If you speak to nearby guards after interacting with the poster, they’ll point you towards the Waterfront District.
  • If you get caught after stealing or trying to pickpocket someone, let the guards arrest you and take you to jail. After you leave the jail and rest in a bed, a Gray Fox disciple will pay you a visit and invite you to join the Thieves Guild, which will add the related quest to your journal, too.

No matter which path you choose, you’ll always be prompted to go to the Garden of Dareloth in the southern part of the Waterfront District. Here, you’ll have to wait until 11pm for Armand Christophe to show up and kick off the initiation ceremony for the Thieves Guild in Oblivion Remastered

In case you don’t want to go through the pain of looking for Gray Fox posters or being jailed, you can just make your way to the area mentioned above at the said time. The event will still take place, making it the best way to join the guild.

How to Complete the Thieves Guild Initiation Quest in Oblivion Remastered

The initiation quest is simple. All you need to do is steal a book from a house, and that’s about it. But the only hiccup is that you’ll be competing against two other individuals who are also trying to join the Thieves Guild.

The house where your target is located is within the Temple District. To find the house, head into the Temple District and immediately turn to your right. Follow the path till you reach the first door on your left.

Enter the house and head to the desk on the right wall. The book you need to steal is right here. Pick up the book and head back to Armand. Doing so will complete your current questline, and you’ll officially be a part of the Thieves Guild in Oblivion Remastered
