The Lighthouse simulation is one of the most desired locations in the world of Destiny 2, and the only way to reach it is through the Trials of Osiris.
This PvP mode is one of the most difficult ones the game has to offer, but it is the source for some of the best weapons. Thanks to some of the recent changes, it’s become accessible to almost everyone interested in PvP activities. However, it’s also turned an even bigger sweat fest than what it, but it’s a somewhat more rewarding than before.
How to Unlock the Lighthouse in Destiny 2

To reach the Lighthouse, you’ll need to log seven wins on a Trials of Osiris pass, which you can buy from Saint-14 at the Tower Hangar in exchange for 500 Glimmer. Prior to the rework, you’d have to get seven consecutive wins on a passage to access the Lighthouse, but after the changes made during Episode Heresy, you need to log just seven wins.
If you maintain a streak, however, you’ll get better rewards, and there’s always a chance that you might receive an Adept weapon as a drop. Although Adept drops are rare, you’ll have an easier time finding them through the revamped Trials of Osiris system, rather than the other activities like the Rite of the Nine.
All Trials of Osiris Passages explained

Bungie has reduced the number of passages to two from four, and they are as follows:
- Lighthouse Passage: This is a more dedicated passage and is aimed at players who want to go to the Lighthouse for the additional rewards. When you pick up this passage, you’ll be matched with players on the same passage, irrespective of your skill levels.
- Trials of Osiris Passage: This is a beginner-friendly passage, and still involves Skill-Based Matchmaking to a certain degree. It’s a more casual mode where you can earn some good weapons for yourself. However, Adepts don’t drop if you have this passage equipped, and even if you have seven wins, you won’t be able to get to the Lighthouse in Destiny 2.
Should You Reset your Trials of Osiris Passage in Destiny 2?
Since you don’t need a flawless passage to enter the Lighthouse simulation in Destiny 2, a reset isn’t necessary. However, if you want to carry that seven win streak into the simulation for better rewards, you can. Keep in mind that when you have the Lighthouse Passage, you will not be matching with someone on your skill level. So there’s always a chance that you could dominate a match, but there’s also a chance that you get stomped into oblivion.
