If Superheroes Used Facebook

Facebook is the social networking phenomenon of the century but have you ever stopped to wonder what would happen if some of the world’s greatest superheroes signed up and started posting status updates?

It seems like everyone is on Facebook these days, sharing the mundane details of their lives with friends and strangers alike. Bad day at work? Want to show off some holiday photos? Need help with Mafia Wars? Post an update and commiserate with your fellow Facebookers!

But what about the superhero community? They need an outlet too, but would we ever be able to see them in the same light if they gave us the insights into the day-to-day banalities of their lives that we so readily share with each other? Thanks to the talents of Chris Sims of the Invincible Super-Blog, we can safely answer that question with a resounding “no.”

Frank Castle takes the “Which Care Bear Are You?” quiz and turns out to be Grumpy Bear. Kyle Rayner gets pissed off because either Hal Jordan is back from the dead or Guy Gardner is pulling a lame prank. Victor Von Doom accidentally lets slip his “surprise” plan for Reed Richards and possibly best of all, J.Jonah Jameson demonstrates that a complete inability to use the internet is nothing when compared to his mighty rage.

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen all week, possibly all month, and if you’re any kind of superhero fan I guarantee you’ll get a blast out of it – and that you’ll never see Spider-Man and Mephisto in the same light again.
