Sega Atlus Judgment PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X S Google Stadia PS5 XSX remaster remastered April release date

Judgment Arrives Remastered on PS5, XSX, and Stadia in April

Sega has announced that a remastered Judgment, a spin-off game in the Yakuza universe, will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and Google Stadia on April 23. Being on new hardware, it will run at 60 FPS, have improved load times, and contain all previously released DLC.

The DLC includes drone frames, battle items, filters for Takayuki’s camera, and more. The remastered game will cost $39.99, and it will not have any sort of upgrade path for those who’ve already bought Judgment on PlayStation 4. Sega does not have any current plans to release the game on PC via any digital storefronts either.

Judgment follows the story of Takayuki Yagami, a disgraced attorney who becomes a private detective. As he follows a chain of murders in Kamurocho, in which victims have had their eyes removed, he must work with his allies, including ex-Tojo clan yakuza member Masaharu Kaito, in order to discover the truth.

The game plays like a traditional game in the Yakuza series, focusing on real-time brawler action, rather than 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which unexpectedly featured a turn-based JRPG battle system.

Judgment was originally released in June 2019 for PlayStation 4. Check out our review of the game.
