Publisher LucasArts and developer Kuju Entertainment break ties and cease Traxion development.

British developer Kuju Entertainment (Battalion Wars) announced that they and publisher LucasArts “mutually agreed” to kill development on the PSP music title Traxion.

Ed Daly, head of Kuju Brighton, explained: “For reasons of confidentiality we can make no specific comment about the termination of the relationship. However we can say that Kuju Brighton is committed to continue developing innovative lifestyle and music-based games, and we hope to be able to make a more specific announcement about the future of games based on our award-winning music analysis technology in the near future.”

In June 2006, Kuju’s Brighton offices hired 20 employees to complete Traxion and other new titles. Catalis N.V., a German investment company, placed an $8.6 million bid for the company in December.
