Genshin Impact celebrates 5th Anniversary with free 5-Star character and 2,800 Primogems

Genshin Impact has officially launched its 5th anniversary celebration, offering players one of the most generous reward packages in the game’s history. From September 28 through October, players can claim a total of 2,800 Primogems, 10 Intertwined Fates, and their choice of any standard 5-star character.

The centerpiece of the anniversary event is “Uncover Lunar Realms, Hone the Eventide Radiance,” which allows players to select and immediately unlock any 5-star character from the Standard Wish banner. HoYoverse is also providing all materials needed to instantly level that character to Level 60, removing the typical grind associated with new character acquisition. If there’s someone who invaded your pulls or someone you may have wished for, now is the time to get them.

The Primogem distribution spans multiple events. The “Missive of Grace” delivers 1,600 Primogems plus a duo interaction item to players’ in-game mailboxes between September 28 and October 1. You’ll only get this if you were early to the scene, but you can still learn over 1,000 Primogems for free through other activities. It’s way more than the usual announcement and free codes for Primogems at any rate.

Completing Archon Quests within the specified duration awards 620 Primogems plus a free Aino character, while exploration missions grant another 400 Primogems. The “Tracing the Heart’s Journey” web event adds 180 Primogems through a data review feature.

The “Silvery Flux” daily login event runs from October 1 to October 21, rewarding 10 Intertwined Fates (equivalent to 1,600 Primogems in pull value) for logging in seven total days during that period.

The anniversary coincides with the introduction of Flins, a new DPS character designed around the brand-new Lunar-Charged reaction system. This marks a significant expansion to Genshin Impact’s combat mechanics five years after launch, so you combat nuts out there have something exciting to look forward to.

The generous anniversary package reflects HoYoverse’s continued investment in retaining and rewarding its player base as the game enters its sixth year of operation, with the total value exceeding 4,400 Primogems worth of rewards when including the free 5-star character selection.
