VALORANT bans 40,000 bots according to new 11.06 patch notes

VALORANT’s latest patch notes start with the triumphant news that the devs have banned some 40,000 bots in the last six months alone, as the game had started to become overwhelmed by nonsense. Beginning with, “First, we banned 40,000 bots over the last 6 months, so we hope you see less of them in your games!”. This is great news in the war against cranks spoiling our games.

The other major news of note in the latest patch is the arrival of the Replay system for Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, and Premier.

This is something we have been waiting on for a while, and now we finally get to play around with it for real. Everything is detailed more on a special Replays FAQ page.

Besides that, the patch itself only contains a couple of bug fixes and performance updates. You can see the full changelog below.

Hi folks, it’s Ash, and I have two important things to say to you.

First, we banned 40,000 bots over the last 6 months so we hope you see less of them in your games!

  • Our last banwave hit 40,000 bots over the last 6 months!

BUG FIXES

  • Agents
    • We have fixed a rare bug where in a very very specific set of circumstances, Yoru and Reyna, after turning invisible, would reappear in their original location after the invisibility ended.

PC ONLY

GENERAL UPDATES

  • Replays
    • Replays are now available for your Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, and Premier games. Jump over here for more details!

PERFORMANCE UPDATES

  • The RawInputBuffer setting has been removed and is no longer configurable. The setting will be enabled at all times for players because it is more performant.

CONSOLE ONLY

KNOWN ISSUES

  • The highlight behavior for dropped weapons and the Spike is incorrect and will highlight when players are merely nearby rather than when directly looking at them. This will be resolved in Patch 11.07!

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue with how New Player Tips were displayed on console.
