Thinking about picking up a 3DS XL ahead of the slew of games coming this summer? If Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is also on your list, you might want to wait a few weeks. Starting in late March, customers who register a new 3DS XL and either one of those games will receive a download code to receive another title for free from the 3DS eShop.
Of course, you can’t just pick any old game as your freebie; you have to choose from the five Nintendo is offering: Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone!, Star Fox 64 3D, or Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive! You also need to be a Nintendo Club member, but signing up is free and fairly painless.
The promotion will run from March 21 until April 30, so make sure you don’t miss your window of opportunity if this sounds like something you might be interested in. With the 3DS line-up looking more promising than ever in 2013, it’s certainly not a bad time to own Nintendo’s handheld.
