Of Course There’s an Anime Adaptation of Splatoon 2 in the Works

There’s an anime series based on Splatoon 2 coming to the web next month.

Splatoon 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch Friday, but it’s going to be coming to a web anime next month. The news comes from Japanese magazine CoroCoro (as translated by JapaneseNintendo), which already has a manga serialization of Splatoon.

There’s no word on whether or not the new anime will be a straight adaptation of that manga, but it seems likely that it will have some sort of influence.

The new series will kick off on August 12 over on CoroCoro’s YouTube channel. You can get your fix of cartoon kids turning into squid creatures then, if playing Splatoon 2 this weekend isn’t enough.
