I KNOW I’m probably the last person who should be fixing anyone’s grammar. BUT THIS IS ONE THING I’M SURE ABOUT.
I’ve been seeing all the “Octopi Wall Street” jokes floating around lately, and I have to say it’s been driving me insane. This doesn’t have anything to do with the protest. I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is people murdering the plural form of Octopus!
Octopus is a word of Greek origin. Not Latin. Therefore the correct plural form is OCTOPUSES. Not Octopi. I DON’T CARE WHAT WIKIPEDIA TELLS YOU. Wikipedia explains the now “commonly accepted” plural forms. It’s still wrong.
Now that I got that off my chest, this comic was actually a nice little stress relief. I meant to put it up last week, but came up with the idea too late so you got Nyan-puss instead. Since I tried cracking this one out faster, I actually got it done much earlier, leaving my weekend free. How appropriate that lined up so nicely with a small break from school!
Now excuse me while I go drink for four days straight ….
