Pre-order The Cave on Steam for Team Fortress 2 Goodies

Despite not having a firm release date, The Cave is currently one of Steam’s top sellers.

A few weeks ago, a character trailer for Double Fine’s The Cave revealed that the adventure game from industry legend Ron Gilbert was coming in January 2013. According to my calendar, that’s the month we are in right now, and The Cave seems poised for release within the next few weeks. Despite still having a non-specific “January 2013” release date listed on Steam, The Cave is now available for pre-order on Valve’s downloadable service, and doing so will net you some nifty items to use in Team Fortress 2.

The Sega-published adventure platformer, which was first announced in May and shown off at E3 earlier this year, is already climbing Steam’s sales charts. The Cave is currently listed under Steam’s top sellers, despite not even having an official release date.

The Cave is priced at $14.99, and it appears that it’s release is very near, at least within the next couple of weeks. If Steam isn’t your thing, it will also be available to download on XBLA, PSN, and Wii U.
