Privates Canned on Xbox Live Arcade

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

A game where players battle sexually transmitted diseases from the inside, has been deemed unacceptable for Xbox Live.

Developer Zombie cow has announced that its tongue-in-cheek side scrolling shooter Privates will not be making its way to Xbox Live, due to the sexual nature of its content. The game allows players to become John “Jack” Sterling, and take command of “condom-hatted marines” as they cleaned up people’s private parts.

In a post on the developer’s official blog, Zombie Cow’s Dan Marshall said that the studio had received a lot of support and help, it had been advised that it wouldn’t pass the peer review process required of Xbox indie games. Marshall said that Zombie Cow was disappointed, but at the same time, not really surprised. That’s not to say that Privates is completely dead, as PC players can download the game for free at its official website. If leading a team of commandos into an infected vagina sounds like something you might enjoy, the game could be right up your alley.
