As you progress through the main storyline in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon, you’ll be given a choice to either kill Galahad or One-Eye.
This choice has major storyline implications, and there’s a possibility that you might end up locking yourself out of the main storyline for good. Both choices lead to the legendary Excalibur, but killing either of the two individuals has some dire consequences. This choice further underscores the dark atmosphere of the game, as no matter who you choose to kill, it won’t significantly alter the fate of Kamelot.
How to Reach Galahad in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon
You’ll get the mission to kill Galahad in the Shadow of the Horns questline, which activates once you’ve reached the Horns of the South region in Kamelot. Breandan, the quest giver, is inside the All-Mother Temple, which is guarded by the Del Riata tribe. You can brute force your way into this temple, but that’ll make the entire tribe hostile towards you.
The best way to enter the camp is to first convince Maybn to let you in, and then complete the Act of Kindness quest that Vrann gives you. To complete this quest, you’ll need to deliver a ceremonial axe to Fearghas. After you’ve done this, return to Vrann and you’ll get access to the All-Mother Temple. The tribe will give you their blessing, and you are free to come and go as you please.
Head inside and talk to Breandan, and he’ll give you the task to kill Galahad, one of Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table. You can either follow through with the order and kill Galahad, or you can talk to Galahad and side with him. But if you do so, you’ll have to return and kill Breandan and One-Eye.
What Happens If you Kill Galahad?
Galahad is a powerful enemy, so killing him won’t be easy, especially if your stats aren’t high enough. You’ll need to have a lot of potions at your disposal, but you can kill him with both ranged and melee abilities.

If you kill him, it’ll have the following consequences:
- The South will finally be at peace and free from Galahad’s tyranny.
- You’ll get to learn the truth about Kamelot’s past by visiting Sewal’s Tomb.
- One-Eye will become more influential in the kingdom.
However, it’ll also cause the Traditionalists to lose faith in you and they’ll never support you again. You’ll also lose Kamelot’s protection in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon.
What Happens If you Kill One-Eye in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon?
One-Eye is a powerful enemy, and if you need to kill him, you’ll need to side with Galahad in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon. Since he’s a Knight of the Round Table, Galahad is extremely powerful and will take care of most of the enemies, leaving One-Eye and Breandan at your mercy.

If you kill him, here are the consequences:
- Keepers will make you their interim Captain.
- Kamelot’s Traditionalists will support you, and you’ll also become an enforcer for the Round Table.
- The South will not be at peace, and the tribes won’t welcome you at all.
Choosing to kill One-Eye will lock you out of the Shadow of the Horns mission and will immediately kick off the Shuffling the Deck quest.
Additionally, no matter who you side with, you can always choose to kill both Galahad and One-Eye in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon. However, if you do this, you’ll be soft locked out of the main storyline, and picking up the Excalibur will become more difficult than ever. While you can get out of the soft lock, it’s still game-breaking because it deviates completely from the storyline, so avoid doing this at all costs.
Who Should You Side With?
No matter who you side with, you’ll eventually be taken to the Excalibur anyway, so you won’t be missing out on the sword. Galahad is a maniac but is loyal to the Round Table. Breandan and One-Eye, on the other hand, are manipulative, and they’re the ones who’ve betrayed the Keepers in the first place.
You can side with either one, depending on what you’re looking for from the story. So, we recommend manually saving before embarking on either mission so that you get to experience the outcome of both choices.
