Sony has taken the wraps off one more Christmas surprise for fans of LittleBigPlanet: A Metal Gear Solid premium level pack featuring new objects, music, trophies and tons of other stuff, along with a new MGS costume pack so you can turn Sackboy into Screaming Mantis.
The Metal Gear Solid Premium Level Pack will include five new Story Levels and one Challenge Level created by Media Molecule and Konami, and includes a pile of new stickers, materials, decorations, objects and an all-new Sackboy costume: The Gurlokovich Soldier. New background and interactive music tracks have also been created for the pack, along with a Metal Gear Solid “sound object,” a Laser Sight “gadget” and the “piece de resistance,” the Paintinator. Armed with the Paintinator, players can splatter anything and everything in a level with sack-sized paintballs, even fellow Sackboys. 12 new Trophies will also be included with the levels.
As an added bonus, gamers who don’t own the Metal Gear Solid Level Pack can still play the MGS Story Levels by joining a host who does own the pack and playing together, and gamers who own the pack will be able to create levels with any of the new items and share them online for everyone.
Rounding out the MGS theme is the Metal Gear Solid Premium Costume Pack, which will include outfits for Solid Snake, of course, along with Meryl Silverburgh, Screaming Mantis and Raiden. The four costumes can be purchased as a full set for $5.99 or individually for $1.99 each, and the MGS Level Pack will also cost $5.99. Both sets will be available on the PlayStation Store beginning December 23.
