SugarDVD Will Blast Porn on SteamOS

The good folks at SugarDVD have confirmed that their streaming porn app will be developed for SteamOS.

Well that sure didn’t take long. A little more than 48 hours after Valve unveiled SteamOS to the world, SugarDVD has unveiled plans for a SteamOS version of its streaming adult entertainment service – porn, in other words. Steamy!

“Our apps have had no problem reaching gamers through Xbox and Playstation, and so far, the gaming community loves our apps,” said SugarDVD CEO Jax Smith. “It’d be foolish not to develop for Valve’s new venture.”

For those who aren’t familiar with it, SugarDVD is akin to Netflix, except that it’s all porn, all the time. The service offers unlimited streaming, full DVD rentals and sales, and even “pay per minute,” when all you need is a minute. It’s already available for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Roku, iPad and Android devices, and is also in development for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

“We love the gaming community,” SugarDVD rep Rebecca Bolen said. “Gamers can make or break new technology, so we’re excited to get started developing our adult app for Valve’s promising new devices.”

“Any device that has easily-accessible adult content on it will be more popular than one that doesn’t,” she added.

You can’t really argue with that. Porn is big business, after all, and SugarDVD’s cross-platform ubiquity would suggest that the company has found itself a reliably lucrative niche. And for all the dismissive pointing and laughing people do, we all know that an awful lot of them are going to download it – just out of casual curiosity, of course.

SugarDVD says work on its SteamOS app will begin as soon as the OS is made available to developers. To find out more, you’ll have to do some Googling on your own, because no way am I linking to any of it.
