The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan - Review in 3 Minutes

Recommended Videos

Man of Medan is a narrative-focused horror title from Supermassive Games, the team behind Until Dawn and Hidden Agenda. It’s the first story in The Dark Pictures Anthology, a collection of interactive horror stories hosted by “The Curator,” a wry English gentleman who breaks the fourth wall to talk to players about how they’re doing.

Man of Medan captures the feeling of watching a bad horror movie with friends. Yelling at each other like you would the characters in the film is fun, but the slow pacing of some segments may force a large group to tune out. Despite the joys of couch co-op, the better experience is online, where you can actually play at the same time. The game launches Aug. 30 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 for $30.
