The Ghost Recon Wildlands Open Beta Kicks Off Next Week

If you missed out on the closed beta of Ghost Recon Wildlands, you can check out the open beta next week.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft held a closed beta for Ghost Recon Wildlands. With that experience under its belt, the company is now looking to let anyone who wants to check out the upcoming squad-based shooter have a go. Ubi has announced that the open beta for Ghost Recon Wildlands will kick off next week, on Thursday, February 23. The company has also released a new trailer to celebrate.

The open beta will include two provinces: Itacua, a mountainous area that sounds like it will be an intro area where the cartel forces aren’t as thick on the ground, and Montuyoc, which will be tougher, requiring players to earn XP and skills in Itacua to tackle. You’ll be able to take on missions with up to three friends, but only on the same platform. The beta can also be tackled in single-player.

Ubi also announced that anyone who plays in the open beta and then purchases and plays the full game before March 31 will also receive an exclusive mission. The “Unidad Conspiracy” will have players fomenting a war between a local militia known as the Undad and the game’s main antagonist, the Santa Blanca cartel.

You can start pre-loading the open beta on Monday, Feb. 20 on all three platforms: PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you’re not sure your PC can handle the beta, here are the minimum and recommended requirements:
