The Wolf Among Us Trailer Shows Bigby’s Life In Big Bad City

This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Telltale’s been working hard on its Fable adaptation, and it shows.

It’s been a long time coming, and we still don’t have a release date yet – yes, Premiering Soon is the best you’re going to get – but Telltale’s Fables adaptation starring Bigby the Bid Bad Sherriff of Fabletown has its first trailer, and a title for its first episode: Faith. The Wolf Among Us is intended as a prequel, so scrub from your mind all the events in the comic; Bigby’s in New York City, doing his best to keep a tight lid on the other Fables. That’s not an easy job.

“The men and women at Telltale got the story right,” said Fables creator Bill Willingham, in an April Facebook piece. “They know the true story of Fables frontwards and back, so well in fact that I went out of my way to reach a separate deal with Telltale, not only to do what I can to help direct the story of their game, but to make the story in the game canon in the greater Fables fictional universe.” So this prequel is as official as it’s possible to get. We still don’t know exactly what’s going on, or who Bigby’s going to be butting heads with, but if you’re a fan, there’s every reason to be happy about Telltale’s latest.

This one’s due for PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3 very soon. How soon? Very. That’s how soon.
