8 Games You Didn’t Know Were Becoming Movies

Today we give you eight games that are soon to be movies, so prepare to have your favorite games possibly ruined by Hollywood. Hopefully they’ll keep the spirit of the games in the movies, but don’t hold your breath.

There’s no date as to when Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be making its way to the theaters. They do have Scott Derrickson signed onto direct this film, he’s also announced to direct the Doctor Strange film so hopefully he has time.

Warcraft is getting its own film in Warcraft. The filming for the movie completed on May 23rd, with a release date set for March 11, 2016 so don’t hold your breath.

The Gran Turismo film is still in the development stages. It’s being brought to the big screen by the same team that made The Social Network, so hopefully this will actually get made, although we don’t know what the plot of the film would actually be.

There isn’t a date yet for the release of the film adaptation of the blockbuster game The Last of Us. We don’t know exactly when they’re making a movie out of a game that looks and feels like a cinematic film already, but money.

Mass Effect is ripe for a film adaptation. The film could be a retelling of the first game, who knows, they have so much to work with in that universe. There’s not much of a release date for this film as of yet, other than the vague 2018-2019 dates.

So, they’re making a Temple Run movie. Hopefully it’s not just the beginning of every Indiana Jones movie on loop. Seriously though this sounds like a great recipe for a new installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, just get Indy to run forever.

The Ratchet & Clank movie was announced, but really there are more than enough films that are announced that never see the light of day. Well this film may actually get to see that elusive sunlight, it is slated for a 2015 release so start camping at the theater now for tickets.

A Shadow of the Colossus movie has been in development since 2009, so don’t get your hopes up. This looks like it could be a fantastic film, no pesky low level NPCs to have to worry about, you just need a protagonist and some very badass baddies.
