Atomic Heart Gets Brutal Gameplay Trailer Showing GeForce Ray Tracing

Atomic Heart, a grim FPS set in a deformed version of the Soviet Union, just got a new trailer that aims to pull players in with impressive visuals, fueled by GeForce RTX ray tracing and DLSS on PC. Developer Mundfish’s BioShock-flavored universe really shines here, literally, and if this is the first time you’ve heard of Atomic Heart, you might be captivated by its unusual visuals.

Atomic Heart was first revealed in 2017 by way of a creepy teaser trailer. Since it was first shown off to the world, the game has been viewed as a cross between BioShock and Fallout thanks to its creepy visuals, dense atmosphere, and gameplay mechanics. We got to see a more traditional but still short gameplay teaser nearly a year ago.

The project’s story, according to its Steam page, follows “all the things that could have happened in the reality of the USSR but didn’t.” Players get to visit this other dimension in the boots of a Soviet Special Duty KGB officer who finds themselves in the middle of various open levels themed around secret labs and bunkers.

Atomic Heart is set to bring GeForce ray tracing technology to PC, but the game is also planned to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. However, Mundfish has yet to announce any sort of launch window.
