Sneak, attack, and blink in the interactive video highlighting Dishonored‘s gameplay options.
Steampunk stealth/action game Dishonored is all about choices, letting players decide whether to take the stealthy approach or go on the offensive while playing the game. The “Path to Revenge” trailer highlights just a few of those choices, showing the outcomes of being sneaky, attacking foes without a second thought, or using the blink ability to teleport past a sticky situation.
What’s interesting about the video is that there aren’t clear-cut right and wrong decisions, so each action really just depends on how you want to play the game. My first time through, I chose what appeared to be the most aggressive actions, because I generally don’t have the patience for stealth. When I went through the video a second time to see how some of the other options played out, I realized that the other choices could be just as effective, even with the situation being handled completely differently.
Dishonored will be sneaking to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 9.
