Da 5 Bloods Review – Escape to the Movies

The surviving members of an all-black Vietnam War infantry unit, now senior citizens haunted by regret and PTSD, reunite for a covert trek back into the jungle to find an illegal cache of CIA gold they believe is still buried at the site of a mission gone wrong. This new Netflix Original from Spike Lee, Da 5 Bloods, combines war, drama, and heist genres with the director’s signature blend of stylized action, dark comedy, and politically charged history lessons that our critic says features an awards-worthy performance from the great Delroy Lindo.
