Destiny‘s The Taken King Receives New Trailer

Destiny‘s The Taken King will make its way to gamers on September 15th, 2015.

Sony, at its E3 press conference this evening, has unveiled a new trailer and information for Destiny‘s next big expansion: The Taken King.

According to the company, The Taken King will add new weapons, new abilities, new enemies and a heap of new story content. That being the case, the expansion will also cost $39.99, twice the price of previous the game’s first two expansions. Player’s interested in purchasing a physical copy will be able to for $79.99. Physical copies will include both the base game and the expansion content.

On the story front, the expansion will follow-up on the events of The Dark Below, focusing on the efforts of the Taken King Oryx to take revenge on the Guardians for killing his son Crota.
To defeat him, the player will have to make their way “aboard [his] Dreadnaught” and battle Oryx “within his inner sanctum.”

The Taken King will become available on September 15th, 2015. Players who buy it on PS4 will gain access to special content including a unique strike and gear.
