Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part Two, DLC, Doom Eternal, id Software, Bethesda,

Bethesda and id Software shared on social media that Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part Two, the second DLC expansion for the title, will receive a teaser trailer on March 15. A piece of artwork was posted with the announcement, highlighting giant battles, a new sword-wielding enemy, and what seems to be a glowing red hammer weapon for players to use.

The official announcement follows a leak from Bethesda that saw the artwork and some in-game screenshots briefly found on the publisher’s online store. Okami Gaming captured and shared the images on Twitter, which feature new locations and enemies seemingly set to come with The Ancient Gods – Part Two.

Doom Eternal launched roughly a year ago as a sequel to Bethesda and id Software’s 2016 revival. Then in October 2020, The Ancient Gods – Part One was released, continuing the story with more intensity before leaving players with a cliffhanger ending. The Ancient Gods – Part Two will hopefully answer questions posed by the previous DLC, but you can at least expect more demon-killing fun, too.

Doom Eternal is set to receive PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S versions sometime in the future. A release date for the enhanced versions has not been revealed, but the upgrades will be free for those that have already purchased PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions of the game. Doom Eternal also came to Nintendo Switch with a digital release in December of last year, but The Ancient Gods – Part One is not yet available on that platform.
