DS Continues To Dominate Japan Game Sales List

Despite the launch of the PS3 in Japan, the Nintendo DS continues to dominate game sales.

The first eight of the top ten selling games in Japan from November 6th to 12th were for the Nintendo DS. Numbers two and four were Pokemon titles with New Super Mario Bros. and World Soccer Winning Eleven DS holding the 6th and 8th spots. Only two PS3 titles broke the top ten with Ridge Racer (21,655 units) at ninth and Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight (21,310 units) in tenth.

The PS3 has had a slow start in Japan with less than 90,000 units shipped and a software tie-in of only 0.98.
