You Can Now Stream Xbox One Games to iOS

Although the feature has been available on Android devices for a while, you can now stream games on your Xbox One to your iOS devices including iPhones and iPads. This feature functions similarly to remote play functionality between the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita (RIP). Xbox Series X games will also be streamable to iOS and Android once they become available next month. To utilize remote play, you’ll need to use the official Xbox app, which is available as a free download from the device’s store. Additionally, the Xbox app can access your Xbox over wireless or even data connection, allowing you to remotely start the console when you’re away from home.

Amazon Luna Free Trial Invites Going Out

Consumers who previously requested early access to Amazon Luna are reportedly now getting their invites via email. An example of the email can be seen below, courtesy of Twitter user @apadamson. According to the email, the free trial is for seven days and following that period, consumers will then be charged the entry price of $5.99 per month. Luna is Amazon’s attempt at a video game streaming service, which will feature “a growing library of games” at up to 1080p/60FPS (and 4K when it becomes available). The service is usable on iOS devices via web app, PC, Mac, and Fire TV.

Control Ultimate Edition Will Require an Internet Connection on Xbox One

As spotted by Twitter account DoesItPlay, Control Ultimate Edition will require an internet connection on Xbox One. According to publisher 505 Games, the content is too large to fit on disc. “Control Ultimate Edition, including all the latest expansions is over 50gb so we’re unable to fit everything on the Xbox disc,” the publisher said. “We have used Xbox intelligent delivery to provide some content on the disc and the rest via download.” PS4 users are able to play everything from the disc, due to “compression and other variables.”

Gears of War’s Cliff Bleszinski Might Return to Games Industry and Has “Some Ideas Kicking Around”

Following Cliff Bleszinski’s untimely departure from the video game industry due to the failure of his FPS game LawBreakers in 2018, the renowned director reflected upon his failures in a lengthy Facebook post. Despite stating he’d never make games again, Bleszinski seems to have shifted gears, now stating, “I may one day dip my toe back into the biz, ever so slowly and cautiously.” He cited games like Fall Guys and Among Us as inspirations for possibly returning to make smaller-budget games and says that he has “some ideas kicking around.”
