The Next Ubisoft Forward Event Will Happen in September

Today, Ubisoft confirmed the next Ubisoft Forward event will happen this September, as relayed in an earnings call. The first Ubisoft Forward event gave us a better look at the studio’s upcoming games like Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and more, but fans seemed to be disappointed with the lack of new announcements.

Some speculate the upcoming Ubisoft Forward will double down on new game announcements in the Splinter Cell or Rayman series, but nothing has been confirmed. Likewise, Ubisoft did not confirm the exact date of the next Ubisoft Forward event, but at least we know it’s happening soon enough.

Star Wars: Squadrons’ Preview Reception Is Positive

Today, select publications released previews based on early builds of Star Wars: Squadrons, and its reception is quite positive. Outlets across the board praised the way it feels to fly ships, as well as its intuitive design when it comes to combat. This is good news considering EA’s handling of the Star Wars license has been less than stellar in recent years. Previewers got to try a portion of the game’s single-player mode and its multiplayer section — which were both praised in their own regard, although the game is also apparently pretty difficult and may not be for everyone.

Star Wars: Squadrons will come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 2 and will be fully playable in VR on PC and with PSVR.
