Crysis Remastered Seemingly Heading to PS4 This Friday

The development of Crysis Remastered has been… odd. It was initially scheduled for launch across all platforms towards the end of July, but it was delayed — except for the Switch version, which managed to hit its target date. Now, a recent PlayStation Access video seems to have outed the game’s release on PlayStation 4, stating it would launch this Friday, Aug. 21. Oddly enough, its PS4 release date has yet to be confirmed by Crytek, so this could be an error; although, PlayStation Access is a reputable source, so it’s likely we’ll see it this Friday.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Delayed to 2021

Game development has felt the impact of the global pandemic we see ourselves in, and the most recent project to be delayed due to COVID-19 is The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. The game’s developers, Galactic Cafe and Crows Crows Crows, shared an update on Twitter, stating the game would need more time to meet its vision. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is, as its name suggests, an enhanced version of the original game and will feature more content, additional endings, and some quality-of-life fixes. It’s unclear when it will release now, other than a general 2021 window.

Fall Guys’ Battle of the Brands Charity Contest Has Already Reached $200,000

Fall Guys and its developer Mediatonic have been doing quite well in the public eye, especially after the recent announcement of its Battle of the Brands charity contest. In it, brands have two weeks to bid for the highest amount they’d be willing to donate to Special Effect, a UK-based charity with the goal of helping people with physical disabilities play games.

The winning bid will go to Special Effect, and the brand that donates it will get a special costume within Fall Guys. The current highest bidder is G2 Esports, which is sitting at $203,003.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds Boasts a Roster of Over 70 Superstars at Launch

Today, 2K announced WWE 2K Battlegrounds‘ full launch roster, which features over 70 superstars, ranging from old classics like Jake “The Snake” Roberts and those you’d see today. Interestingly, an additional 63 wrestlers are planned to release post-launch — and their names have also already been revealed — though it’s unclear how this rollout will go into effect.

A notice on the roster announcement says its subject to change, so we’ll have to see how it shakes out. WWE 2K Battlegrounds will launch on Sept. 18.
