Game Con Speaker Called to Lead Interactive Entertainment Group

Attorney S. Gregory Boyd has joined Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz as head of the firm’s Interactive Entertainment Group.

New York-based Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, a “full-service law firm” that specializes in the media, entertainment and advertising industries, has announced the addition of a new partner, S. Gregory Boyd, who has joined the company as head of its Interactive Entertainment Group.

Boyd’s experience with the industry includes drafting development contracts for consoles, mobile and online games, negotiating and drafting IP licenses, terms of use, privacy and other related agreements for various game and high-tech media companies. He’s also familiar with legal documents related to the operation of online games, social networks and branded entertainment, and has advised numerous high-tech media companies on licensing, strategic development and litigation, and is likely best known to gamers for being quoted on sites like Gamsutra and Edge.

Boyd also teaches a seminar on advanced intellectual property as an Adjunct Professor at New York Law School, and is the co-author of the Business and Legal Primer for Game Development. “Greg Boyd is in the vanguard of lawyers putting together the newest deals in games and other interactive entertainment,” said Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz Managing Partner Jeffrey A. Greenbaum.

Boyd, whose clients include high-profile game companies like Atari, Riot Games, ArenaNet and Majesco, will be a speaker at the East Coast Game Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina.
