Horace Review – The Current Indie Sleeper Hit of the Year?

Recommended Videos

Horace is a narrative-heavy pixel art platformer by Paul Helman and Sean Scaplehorn. As the eponymous character, a sentient robot, you are tasked to clean one million things while living with your owners, who treat you like family. A tragedy causes you to shut down, awakening years later alone, but still driven by your prime directive and a yearning to bring everyone back together.

Ultimately, Horace’s heartwarming narrative pushes you through the hardcore gameplay, and the high-quality aesthetic and music burn themselves into your brain. Horace may be an unforgiving platformer, but it’s well worth the challenge. The game is out now on Steam.
