Injustice DC animated movie Warner Bros gods among us video game adaptation comic book voice cast

Injustice: Gods Among Us is getting an animated movie adaptation planned to arrive this fall. The small-screen DC Comics film will adapt elements from both NetherRealm Studios’ 2013 video game and Tom Taylor’s Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One comic book series. Produced by Warner Bros. Animated and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, the story follows an alternate reality where Superman becomes a dictator after a trick from the Joker results in the death of Lois Lane.

The large voice cast for the Injustice animated movie has been revealed as well, including Justin Hartley as Superman, Anson Mount as Batman, Laura Bailey as Lois Lane and Rama Kushna, Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern, Brandon Michael Hall as Cyborg, Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Derek Phillips as Nightwing and Aquaman, and Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, Flash, and Shazam. The list continues with Kevin Pollak playing Joker and Johnathan Kent, Anika Noni Rose as Catwoman, Zach Callison as Damian and Jimmy Olsen, Edwin Hodge as Mr. Terrific and Killer Croc, Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man, Reid Scott as Green Arrow and Victor Zsasz, Faran Tahir as Ra’s al Ghul, Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom, Janet Varney as Wonder Woman, and Andrew Morgado as Mirror Master Soldier.

NetherRealm’s other massively popular fighting game series, Mortal Kombat, got an animated movie spinoff in the form of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge last year, with Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms also coming soon. Rick Morales, who produced both animated movies, is producing Injustice. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War director Matt Peters will direct the new film. The script is being handled by Batman: Hush writer Ernie Altbacker, with Jim Krieg as a producer and Sam Register as executive producer.
