Lost Judgment Trailer Showcases More Gameplay Activities & Features

Yakuza spinoff Lost Judgment got a new gameplay trailer showing off the many, many activities you’ll get to enjoy when it launches later this year. There’s boxing, motorcycle racing, skateboarding, an adorable dog (that growls like a lion, for some reason), and more craziness shown in the trailer that debuted during Sony’s latest State of Play presentation today. You can take a look at everything that will keep you preoccupied in-between your investigations in the trailer below.

Sega of America global communications manager Kaydie Hansen wrote more about the game on the PlayStation.Blog. Lost Judgment will see players engaging in stealth and various athletics, as players can scale buildings and sneak in and out of areas without causing much trouble. Protagonist Takayuki Yagami will also have access to his Crane and Tiger martial arts styles, but there’s also a new Snake style. Snake style allows you to redirect the attacks of enemies, making for more merciful takedowns.

As the new gameplay trailer suggests, Lost Judgment puts players back into the shoes of the lead investigator for a new noir narrative filled with mystery. See a quick summary below:

A convicted police officer reveals the location of a murder victim’s body, the man who had once bullied his late son. Private detective Takayuki Yagami is called to investigate the impossible case of two crimes committed at once. But what starts out as a straightforward tale of revenge bleeds into a growing criminal network, a flawed legal system, and those who would take advantage of both.

The original Judgment launched as a spinoff of the Yakuza games in 2019 and received the remaster treatment for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S this past April. When Lost Judgment was officially revealed, Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirmed that the Judgment series will continue with real-time combat, while the Yakuza series will continue the RPG gameplay introduced in Like a Dragon.

Lost Judgment launches on September 24, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
