MLB 2K8 On the Way

As is customary with the onset of spring training, 2K games announced MLB 2K8, saying the game will arrive in stores on March 4.

The title will be available on the PSP, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, with changes over last year focused on player control.

A new pitching interface, base-running and batting controls and a chance to live it up in the minor leagues are new additions this year. Players can choose from 90 minor league clubs in exhibition and franchise modes.

One notable addition is the Wii version, where the Wii remote can be flicked to adjust ball speed or hitting placement. Base running, slides and fielding will also be handled by manipulating the Wii nunchuck and remote in various ways.
