PaRappa the Rapper Jams onto the PSP

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today the U.S. release date for the PSP version of PaRappa the Rapper, an unforgettable hip-hop based music game that debuted on the PlayStation 10 years ago.

PaRappa the Rapper, which is scheduled to debut this July, will retain all of the characters, levels and songs from the original PlayStation game, but it will increase the social appeal by offering new PSP exclusive features. Some examples are the ability to go head-to-head in four player ad-hoc battles, share demo levels through Game Share and use the PSP Infrastructure Mode to download eight additional playable remixes.

John Koller, Senior Marketing Manager for Sony Computer Entertainment America, said, “Bringing PaRappa the Rapper to PSP allows true Playstation fans to re-connect with this timeless classic. … This also introduces the beloved PaRappa and his cast of colorful friends to a new generation of fans and potential hip-hop stars on the move.”
