A full half-century before The CW DC Universe, the popularity of the Batman franchise (specifically, the massive international popularity of the Adam West TV series in the 1960s) led a team of ambitious Mexican filmmakers and an Italian model-actress to bring an unofficial live-action BatWOMAN to life… as the bikini-clad heroine of a hybrid superhero/sci-fi/Mexican wrestling/spy thriller/monster movie set in the (apparently?) deeply interwoven worlds of Acapulco’s pro wrestling, reef diving, and organized crime underworlds. Really.
