Sepulchre Brings You A Short Glimpse Of Horror

Hello Doctor Lang. Are you enjoying your train journey? It’s completely free, unless you’d like the special edition.

If you’re in need of a short break and enjoy a touch of horror, take a look at Sepulchre, a brief vignette from Owl Cave, featuring Doctor Harold Lang as the unfortunate soul whose train journey kicks off the plot. It’s a free point and click – $2.99 if you want the special edition with the game, soundtrack, wallpapers and a digital copy of Sepulchre creator Ashton Raze’s novel as well – in which you wander the train seeking … actually, I can’t tell you what you’re about to do, as anything I might say would count as a massive spoiler. Even the game’s trailer admits as much. But these are the same folks behind adventure mystery title Richard & Alice, which should give you an idea of what to expect from Sepulchre.

Short but fascinating is the best way of describing Sepulchre. The scene opens with you, a museum curator, on your way to Augur Peak Island, travelling on a train that seems to have no passengers. Things quickly go wrong from there but, as Raze points out in the trailer, the intent is to create “really creepy, proper horror … none of that jump scare stuff.” This is one that will get under your skin rather than scare the pants clean off you, in the brief time it will be part of your life. Or at least, brief in the playing, though you may end up thinking about it for a long time after the final reveal.

This is a PC only title. If you want to know more, or perhaps download it, have a look at the website over here.
