Marvel’s Iron Man VR – Suit Up for Greatness PSVR Trailer
In the latest Iron Man VR trailer, we get a look at the hero in action as he battles against his foes. We also got a look at the PSVR bundle, which features a PSVR headset, a copy of Iron Man VR, a PlayStation Camera, and two Move controllers for $349.99. It will launch on July, 3. DC FanDome, a Virtual Event That Will Feature Announcements, Including from WB Games
A new virtual event called DC FanDome has been announced, featuring a slew of DC-related announcements as part of a 24-hour livestream. It will air on Aug. 22.
While the event will cover many facets of media, from movies, comics, and TV, it will also include “new announcements from WB Games,” as described in the press release. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the long-rumored Batman game that we’ve been waiting for.

Pokémon Presents Will Air Tomorrow, June 17, and Will Include New Franchise Information
A new Pokémon event will debut tomorrow, June 17 at 6 a.m. PDT / 9 a.m. EDT. It’s unclear what will be announced, but many are hoping for updates on Switch-related Pokémon content.
It’s also been a while since we’ve gotten an update on Pokémon Sleep, so perhaps that will get a solid release date. It would also be nice to see Detective Pikachu make its way to Switch, which was originally released for Nintendo 3DS in 2018 in North America. The event will reportedly be 11 minutes long.

Madden 21 Official Reveal Trailer Shown
Like clockwork, we are getting a new Madden game this fall, but EA has been slow to announce much concrete information about it. Luckily, we just got a new trailer, showing official gameplay like the new Ball Carrier Skill Stick and new pass-rush mechanics. It’ll be available starting on August 25, 2020 for MVP Edition buyers.
Judging by the comments, the fans seem to be displeased with the series, but this is likely the vocal minority since Madden is continuously one of the top-selling games each year. This year’s entry will also feature a Dual Entitlement program, allowing users who buy the current gen version to upgrade to the next generation version for free. Check out the trailer below:

PlayStation 5’s Exclusive Games Are “More Important” Than Ever
During an interview with The Guardian, Simon Rutter, PlayStation’s EVP for Europe, explained that exclusive games are an even bigger priority with this generation. Rutter said they’re “hugely important. More important, I think, than they’ve ever been.” He also explained that Polyphony Digital’s upcoming Gran Turismo 7 will “benefit from almost every single technological enhancement that we have in PlayStation 5.”
It’s not unusual for launch games to come out swinging with all the new bells and whistles. What’s important is for these features to stand the test of time and last for the duration of the generation, as long as they’re welcomed. Too often, we are introduced to interesting features that are utilized in a handful of games, never to be seen again.

PAX West Canceled in Favor of PAX Online
With the unsafe situation we find ourselves in this year, most recreational travel has been limited and/or outright canceled. PAX West will follow suit, instead bringing its audience a digital event Sept. 12 – 20. It will feature 24/7 events, from panels to esports coverage, and even ways to interact with developers. The best part is that it’s free for all users.
The cancellation of PAX West (and PAX Aus) in favor of PAX Online is a disappointing, yet understandable move given our circumstances. Opting for safety is the right call, but it will be exciting to finally be able to meet and hang out with other people at events like these in person in the future. There isn’t much else of an option right now but to wait.
