Undertale, Xbox, Microsoft, Game Pass

Undertale is finally making its way to Xbox consoles – and it’s launching on Xbox Game Pass, too. In an Xbox Wire post, Microsoft revealed that Toby Fox’s massively popular indie RPG will finally come to fans on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S starting tomorrow, March 16. The game was previously available for Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers but has since exited the service.

The Xbox Wire post goes on to describe how the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S versions of Undertale will differ from the PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. While some Xbox-specific enhancements will keep you from being able to transfer progress and save data between different platforms, the post does describe something else to look out for: “But this also means that, similar to previous console releases, the Xbox version features its own little…shrine, one might say…of exclusive content to look out for.” You can purchase Undertale on Xbox separate from Game Pass for $14.99.

Check out the announcement trailer for the game.

Undertale on Xbox Game Pass is only the latest in a slew of related announcements Microsoft has made in the last week or so. Following the company’s ZeniMax Media purchase, Game Pass now includes 20 classic Bethesda titles. And just today, Microsoft revealed that Square Enix’s Outriders will also be launching on Game Pass.
