Here’s the video game news you might’ve missed on April 8, 2021.
Amazon Luna Now Offers 720p Option to Improve Performance
Today, Amazon Luna has gotten a new update that will allow users to stream at 720p to improve performance. As Amazon explained to The Verge, “One of the most requested features is the ability to play at lower resolutions to match unique internet connection speeds and bandwidth demands.” At 1080p, many users were having trouble keeping up with the visual fidelity, as poor internet connections tend to cause lag when playing.

Outriders Players Will Get an Appreciation Package to Make Up for Server Issues
You’re probably aware that Outriders, the latest co-op shooter from People Can Fly, was having server issues around the time of its launch last week. Its developer acknowledged the problem and will implement an “Appreciation Package” to those who played at launch (between March 31 and April 11). The company intends to include the following items in the package, as described by the developers themselves:
- A level-appropriate Legendary Weapon
- A level-appropriate amount of Titanium
- The emote “Frustration,” which is otherwise unobtainable at this moment in time. The irony here was not intentional but is fitting.
It’s unclear when it will be available, as PCF is still working on its implementation.

Capcom has pulled the Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta due to “issues” with its matchmaking service. The company took to Twitter to comment on the beta, stating that they “have decided that until further notice to temporarily suspend the (beta) to resolve the problem.” It’s unclear what specifically was wrong and when the open beta will be available again, but the company will likely notify users via its social channels once it’s ready.
【Regarding the RE:Verse OBT】 As we are still seeing issues with RE:Verse OBT matchmaking service, we have decided that until further notice to temporarily suspend the OBT to resolve the problem. We will continue to investigate, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
