Users Are Reporting the Inability to Download Certain PS3 Patches

Ahead of the store closures set for later this summer, players are reporting being unable to download update patches across certain PlayStation 3 games. This was spotted by the PSN Profiles community, which has compiled a list of the affected games. The list of games seems to be random and across multiple regions, but one thing is for sure: Many of the games cannot be played properly without these patches. It’s unclear if this is somehow tied to the upcoming PS3 store closure, and Sony has yet to comment on the issue.

Nacon Has a Lot in Store for Racing Fans, Including WRC 10’s World Premiere Trailer Tomorrow

French publisher Nacon, best known for its racing games (and a serious pirating scandal), will fill the next 10 days with reveals across many of its franchises. Most notably, it will have news on WRC 9, RiMS Racing, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, and a world premiere trailer for the upcoming WRC 10 game (which will debut tomorrow at 9 a.m. ET). You’ll want to stay tuned to Nacon’s social channels to keep up with the latest racing game updates.

Sony London Studio Is Hiring for a New PS5 Project

As spotted by Push Square, Sony’s London Studio is gearing up for a new project for PlayStation 5. Although the team is best known for its recent work in the PSVR space, it’s unclear if this particular project will be a virtual reality game. What we do know is that it will include a multiplayer component. “We are really excited to open this hire for an experienced Online Gameplay Designer because it’s a role of crucial importance to the new PS5 project we are working on at London Studio,” reads a job description on the company’s site. It’s unknown when this game will be ready to play, but it’ll likely be a while since the team is still hiring for an online gameplay designer.

Outriders Is Wiping Players’ Inventories, but People Can Fly Is Working on a Fix

As Outriders enters its second week on the market, players are reporting having issues with their in-game inventory being completely wiped. Developer People Can Fly is aware of the situation and is working on a fix. In the meantime, it’s recommended to force-quit from the game immediately if you notice your inventory has been wiped. And to those who cannot manage to retrieve lost items, the developer is aiming to implement a way to restore any deleted gear.

Former Sony Bend Director Said Days Gone 2 Would Have Featured a Shared Universe and Cooperative Play

Last week, it was reported that Days Gone 2 was supposedly rejected by Sony. Now, we have learned what the game would have entailed. According to Days Gone director Jeff Ross, the sequel would have featured a shared world with cooperative play. Ross said, “It’s one of the things that we had in our pitch, yeah. It was the idea of a shared universe with co-op play.” Interestingly, Ross did not comment on whether the pitch for the game had been rejected due to being under NDA.
