DC FanDome, a massive DC Comics-focused event, will feature the reveal of WB Games Montreal’s next video game. Confirmation of the Batman: Arkham Origins developer’s spot during the event came today through the DC FanDome schedule. You can check out the full list of announcements, but you’ll need to sign up for an account first (or make a bogus account).
The reveal will take place on Aug. 22 at 1:30 p.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. PT and last around 20 minutes. DC’s description of the panel shares, “Gamers! You won’t want to miss this first look at an exciting new game, and Q&A with its developers.”
WB Games Montreal, which is mostly known for its work on Batman: Arkham Origins, has been teasing this game for what feels like an eternity. Rumors of the studio developing another Batman game had circulated for quite some time, but things really started heating up when Court of Owls creator Scott Snyder tweeted a mysterious hint referencing the Owls in relation to WB Games Montreal. Later, the studio began sharing cryptic images on its social media. Though there was never any outright confirmation of a game that follows the Court of Owls storyline, the evidence is convincing.
DC has plans to cover more than WB Games Montreal’s latest at DC FanDome, including original Arkham series developer Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as well as more information on Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
